Family, friends, and community leaders showed up in huge numbers to offer condolences and as questions regarding Kevin. Minister Tony Muhammad was outraged and showed a genuine concern about the death of another Black man at the hands of another Police Officer. He asked that we cease not only black on black crime but also that we never let the police forget that we are upset about the way we have been treated not only in history, not only the past few decades, but the way we are currently being treated in our own communities across America.

Chiefs Seabrooks pulled off a cowardly move by undermining and dividing protestors who publicly announced a pre-planned protest in front of the Inglewood Police station. She demanded that hand-picked community leaders meet with her in a private meeting in a small room on Manchester Ave. Demonstrators were furious as we were left standing outside pondering what questions were being asked and whose palms were being greased. I for one, no longer know who is working for who and why any of the community leaders are being paid or pretending to be representing the families of slain victims at the hands of Inglewood Police officers. This is not about who can talk to the Chief and get a few minutes of media attention, its about justice, which would only be achieved by Officer Ragan spending life behind bars like any other murderer or serial killer would be. Three strikers are serving life sentences for petty theft, Ragan is receiving a paid vacation with his identity being hidden and his actions being excused by an already corrupt department. Activist claim Chief Seabrooks answered plenty of questions that they wanted answered and were pleased with her answers. When I asked had she offered any new updates to the investigation he answer remained- NO!
